Statistics: Russia’s inflation accelerates to 0.2% in Dec 5 – Mon
MOSCOW, Dec 13 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation index growth accelerated to 0.2% from December 5 through Monday from 0.12% in the previous week, and reached 6.93% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Fruit and vegetables prices increased by 1.8% on average. Prices for cucumbers grew by 9.6%, for carrots by 1.2%, onions by 1%, beets 0.9%, apples by 0.8%, cabbage by 0.7%, tomatoes and potatoes by 0.3%. Prices for bananas decreased by 0.2%.
Prices for sugar decreased by 0.8%, for chicken meat and tea by 0.4%, for pork and buckwheat by 0.3%. Prices for eggs grew by 4.6%, for noodles by 0.8%, sausages by 0.7%.
Gasoline prices fell by 0.1%, the diesel fuel prices rose by 0.1%.
